Containers for Change at Forest Lake Shopping Centre

Conveniently located in the ALDI car park, opposite Snap Fitness, the self-serve TOMRA RVMs make recycling quick, easy, and rewarding. Open 363 days a year, including most public holidays, and operating 14 hours a day, you can recycle at a time that suits you.

The machines can process up to 100 containers per minute, helping you return your eligible containers faster while supporting a cleaner, more sustainable community.

How it Works

Simply bring your eligible containers to the TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines and choose how you would like to receive your refund:

Cash Voucher

Receive a retail cash voucher directly from the machine - no sign-up required.

Once you’ve finished returning your containers, press the “Voucher” button to collect your voucher. Vouchers can be redeemed for cash or discounts at participating Coles stores, including Coles at Forest Lake Shopping Centre.

Digital Refund

Prefer a digital payout? You can receive your refund directly into your bank account or PayPal.

To get started, sign up for a scheme ID through Containers for Change and select your preferred payment method.

Once registered, you’ll receive a barcode that can be saved to your digital wallet or accessed through the Containers for Change QLD App .

How digital payments work:

• Scan your barcode at the Reverse Vending Machine before starting your session
• Insert your eligible containers
• Select “Payout” on screen once complete
• Your refund will be processed within 1 business day

Donate to Charity

You can also donate your container refunds directly to a charity of your choice.

Simply download the Containers for Change app, search for your chosen charity, and save their scheme ID barcode to your app wallet. Scan the barcode at the RVM before returning your containers, and your refund will be donated automatically.
